Hello and welcome to my blog! My name is Saba Ghaffari, and I’m delighted that you are here! What compelled me to start a blog in the first place is my strong desire to help people. I’m quite the introspective person and enjoy exploring human behavior to determine what lessons we can take away from our life experiences. I’m a storyteller at heart and my sincere hope is that my stories, thoughts, and ideas will touch one of you or lift your spirits… or maybe make one of you laugh or chuckle. To say that I’d be overjoyed if my blogs encouraged discussion, reflection, kindness and compassion is an understatement. 🙂
I share on the blog my perspective on life as a millennial in my twenties, big life lessons that I have learned thus far, some fashion and beauty tips, as well as my favorite food recipes! I am not an expert and will never to claim to be; I am simply speaking based on my personal experiences and if it happens to interest you, benefit you, encourage you, then wonderful!
About The Blog Name
I decided on Dallas’s Modern Day Hippie, because to me the word Hippie represents the care-free, peaceful, beautiful spirit I strive to have. By no means am I a perfect human being, but we are all on this planet to grow and evolve into the highest versions of ourselves. I hope to share with you some lessons that I’ve learned from personal experiences. I only have light, peace, and love, to share with you. I hope that this blog can serve as a positive place for you to visit, and take away valuable information.
About the Hippie
I’m 24 years old and am what you would call the ultimate millennial. A selfie-loving, Snapchat obsessed, free-spirited girl, that is on a quest for a more fulfilling life. I graduated from the University of Iowa (Go Hawks!) in 2014 with a B.B.A. in Marketing and a Minor in Psychology. I’m a freelance writer with big dreams to touch many hearts, one word at a time. My favorite subjects to write on are our meaningful life experiences, reflecting on human motives & behaviors, and shedding new perspectives on life. Apart from writing, my hobbies include cooking, reading, traveling, and hanging out with my friends and family.
